Pak Rupee Bounces Back, Gains Rs1.47 Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: After a significant depreciation of over Rs3 the Pakistani Rupee on Thursday bounced back against the American dollar and gained Rs1.48 in the interbank trading to close at Rs278.81 against Rs 280.29 the previous day as reported by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market also witnessed the same improvement as that in the interbank and were trading at the level of Rs 279 and Rs 281 respectively. Last day the dollar against rupee in the open market was traded at the level of Rs 280 and Rs 282 respectively.

Pak Rupee Against Euro, Pound, Riyal and Others

Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also went down by Rs 2.73 to settle at Rs293.75 against Rs 296.48, the last day as per reports of the SBP.

The Japanese Yen decreased by 01 paisa to close at Rs 1.86, whereas the British Pound recorded a decrease of Rs 4.08 in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs337.85 as compared to Rs 341.93 last day.

The exchange rates of the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham went down by 39 and 40 paisa to close at Rs 74.33 and Rs 75.90 and respectively.
