Pak-US Ties: Donald Blome, Dar Vow to Further Deepen Economic Relations

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome called on Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Friday and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and bilateral ties between the two countries.

According to a press release issued here, Ishaq Dar welcomed the US diplomate and highlighted the deep-rooted and long-standing relations with the United States on trade and economics. The Finance apprised economic policies and priorities of the incumbent government and future commitments to track back the country into growth and stability.

He also informed the US diplomate about the government’s pragmatic plans to manage revenues and expenditures for meeting the target of financial obligations both at the national and international levels. He shared various economic avenues in which both countries can further deepen their economic relations.

The Minister also informed the ambassador about the ongoing IMF program and assured him about the government’s commitment to complete the program.

US Envoy Assures Boosting Economic, Trade Ties

The US Ambassador Donald Blome underscored that both countries enjoy good relations and expressed confidence in the policies and programs of the government for economic sustainability and the socio-economic uplift of the masses. He extended his support to further promote bilateral economic, investment, and trade relations between both countries.

Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar thanked the US Ambassador and reiterated the desire of the government to further deepen bilateral trade and investment ties with the USA.
