Pakistan, Dominican Republic Establish Diplomatic Relations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the Dominican Republic, a Caribbean country, on Saturday signed a joint communique, formally establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The signing ceremony was held at the Pakistan mission to the United Nations, New York.

In this regad, the joint communiqué was signed by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram and his Dominican Republic counterpart Jose Blanco.

At the signing of the communique, Pakistan and the Dominican Republic expressed confidence that the new diplomatic relations between the two countries would open a new vesta of bilateral collaboration in various fields and areas of mutual interest.
