ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan has expressed deep concern and condemnation regarding a shocking and irresponsible statement made by Israeli Heritage Minister Amichay Eliyahu, who openly discussed the possibility of using nuclear force against the innocent Palestinians in Gaza.

In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, the Foreign Office expressed being “appalled by the statement of an Israeli minister threatening nuclear force against Palestinians,” deeming it a grave indication of intentions for ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Eliyahu, an ultranationalist politician belonging to Netanyahu’s ruling coalition, made the alarming comment during an interview with Israel’s Kol Barama radio. When asked whether he supported the idea of dropping an “atomic bomb” on the Gaza Strip to crush the population, he alarmingly responded, “That’s one option.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Office termed the statement a wake-up call for the international community, highlighting the severe threat posed by Israeli aggression to regional peace, security, and stability.
