Pakistan Army Chief Attends Inauguration of Second Chapter of NASTP Silicon

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir graced the inauguration ceremony of the second chapter of the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) Silicon in Karachi as the Chief Guest, a military statement said on Friday.

According to army’s media wing, ISPR, the Chief of Army Staff describing NASTP as a project of immense national and strategic significance, highlighted its potential to generate manifold benefits for the country by catalyzing technological progress and promoting self-reliance. This initiative provides a platform for the nation’s youth and future generations.

Commending the efforts of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), its leadership, and skilled personnel, the COAS acknowledged the achievement of yet another milestone at NASTP Silicon.

The Army Chief shared the vision for NASTP, aspiring for it to evolve into one of the premier Aerospace, Cyber & IT Clusters.

The goal is to transform the national landscape with state-of-the-art design, research and development, and innovation centers focused on emerging and disruptive technologies. This transformation aims to garner maximum social, economic, security, and scientific dividends for the country.

Upon his arrival at the venue, the COAS was warmly welcomed by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff.

The COAS also visited Corps Headquarters Karachi, where he was welcomed and briefed and by the Corps Commander Karachi on operational preparedness, training matters, and administrative measures aimed at ensuring the welfare of the troops and Shuhada families.
