Pakistan Army, Rangers Launch Rescue Operation at Hazara Express Derailment Site

NAWABSHAH: Following the tragic derailment of the Hazara Express near Nawabshah, Pakistan Army and Rangers have initiated immediate rescue activities at the accident site to rescue the dead and injured passengers. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, issued special instructions for relief operations, ensuring swift mobilization of resources to assist the injured and those trapped.

Rescue teams from Pakistan Army and Rangers swiftly reached the accident site, and additional troops were called in from Hyderabad and Sukkur to bolster the rescue efforts. Army aviation helicopters were also dispatched to the scene to provide prompt assistance and save the precious lives of the injured using rescue helicopters. Officials from Pakistan Army and Rangers arrived at the site with essential food items to cater to the immediate needs of those affected.

The rescue operation, undertaken by Pakistan Army, is determined to continue until the transfer of the last injured person to the hospital and the successful rehabilitation of those trapped at the accident site. Soldiers from Pakistan Army and Rangers Sindh units are actively participating in the rescue efforts, leaving no stone unturned to reach out to those in distress.

Prompt medical attention was given to the injured individuals who were found outside the train, ensuring their timely transfer to hospitals for treatment. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to rescue and extricate individuals trapped under the overturned bogies.

Rescue trains have been deployed from Rohri and Karachi, further reinforcing the rescue and relief operations. Pakistan Army and Rangers troops are providing all possible assistance at the site, working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the accident.
