RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army’s martyred soldier, Naik Abdul Rauf (age 31 years), who embraced martyrdom during terrorists’ attack on Pakistan’s military border post in North Waziristan, was laid to rest with full military honor in Rahim Yar Khan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

A large number of family members, relatives, Pakistani Army officers, local elders, and people participated in the funeral prayer of the martyred soldier, ISPR said. Martyred Naik Abdul Rauf left his parents, sister, wife, and son among the mourners.

These sacrifices of the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army further strengthened the armed forces’ determination in the war against terrorism ISPR resolved. “This war will continue until the end of the scourge of terrorism from the motherland,” ISPR concluded.

Earlier on Sunday, Naik Abdul Rauf, from the Rahim Yar Khan district, embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly against the terrorists, who had targeted a Pakistani border post in the general area of Spinwam, North Waziristan district, from inside Afghanistan overnight. In response, Pakistani troops retaliated effectively, causing major losses to the attackers.
