Pakistan Army’s Martyred Soldiers Laid to Rest with Full Military Honours

RAWALPINDI: Five soldiers of the Pakistan Army, who embraced martyrdom in a gun battle with terrorists in the general area of Bagh, Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were buried with full military honours in their native villages on Tuesday, a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations stated.

According to the statement, the martyred soldiers, Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar, Sepoy Taimur Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer, and Sepoy Muhammad Yaseen, were laid to rest amid a solemn and emotional atmosphere.

A large number of senior officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army, relatives of the martyrs, friends, and local people participated in the funeral prayers.

The Pakistan armed forces reiterated their commitment to eradicating terrorism, emphasizing their solidarity with the nation in this ongoing fight.

Earlier on Monday, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, along with a large number of military and civilian officials, attended the funeral prayers for the martyrs at Peshawar Garrison.

These brave soldiers had embraced martyrdom on Monday during an intense exchange of fire with terrorists in the general area of Bagh, Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
