ISLAMABAD: Acting Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, Muhammad Syrus Qazi, called upon the international community to stop India from human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), reverse its illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019.
The Acting Foreign Secretary on Friday briefed the representatives of the Diplomatic Missions in Islamabad on the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Acting Foreign Secretary highlighted the egregious human rights violations in held Kashmir and illegal attempts of India to change the demographic status of the occupied territory.
He emphasized that lasting peace in South Asia remained contingent upon a peaceful and just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
India must implement USNC resolutions on the Kashmir dispute
The Acting Foreign Secretary asked the international community to force India to implement the relevant UN Security Council resolutions so that the Kashmiris could realize their inalienable right to self-determination.
The Acting Foreign Secretary’s briefing was part of Pakistan’s regular diplomatic outreach to keep the international community apprised of the developments relating to IIOJK and the region.
