Pakistan Asks Kabul to Take Action Against Terrorist Groups

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has once again asked Kabul to take immediate and effective action against terrorist organizations including their backers and sponsors.

At her weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Friday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said that Pakistan has provided solid evidence of individuals and groups responsible for terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.

TTP and Gul Bahadar Group

Baloch said they expect the Afghan officials to disarm the banned TTP and Gul Bahadar Group, and hand over their leadership including those involved in terrorist attacks to Pakistan. She said that the Afghan officials know the whereabouts and actions of these elements.

Responding to a question, Baloch said that Pakistan will continue to defend itself against all terror outfits and ensure the security and safety of its citizens.

Occupied Kashmir

Alluding to the Indian oppressive tactics in illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the spokesperson said Islamabad will continue to extend political, moral, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir for the just and peaceful settlement of occupied Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per the UN Security Council Resolutions.
