NEW YORK: Pakistan and Bangladesh have reached a consensus to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.
This came when Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the ceremony with regard to the completion of 50 years of Bangladesh’s membership in the United Nations last night in New York, coinciding with the ongoing 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif represented Pakistan at the ceremony, which was hosted by Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The Prime Minister attended the ceremony at the invitation of Dr. Yunus.
Dr. Yunus warmly welcomed Prime Minister Sharif and his accompanying delegation, which included Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, Federal Education and Professional Training Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

During the meeting, both leaders held constructive talks focused on expanding bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The two leaders agreed to promote cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh in various fields.
