Pakistan Celebrates Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) with Religious Fervor Nationwide

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is celebrating Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) today (Tuesday) with great religious fervor and solemnity across the country. The day, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is being observed with a range of religious activities that underscore the significance of his teachings and legacy.

The day dawned with a thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital Islamabad and a twenty-one-gun salute in all provincial capitals, setting a solemn tone for the day. Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer, focusing on the unity of the Muslim Ummah and seeking blessings for the progress and prosperity of the nation.

As a public holiday, the atmosphere in Pakistan is infused with a sense of devotion and festivity. Streets, roads, buildings, mosques, and homes have been adorned with colorful lights, mostly green, in honor of this sacred occasion.

Milad processions are taking place in cities across the country, featuring Ulema and Khateebs who are highlighting various aspects of the Holy Prophet’s life, emphasizing the importance of following his teachings and Sunnah. These processions are accompanied by recitations of the Holy Prophet’s life, sermons, and communal prayers.

Mahafil-e-Milad are being organized in both small towns and major cities. These gatherings serve as a platform to reflect on the Holy Prophet’s exemplary character and to renew commitments to his teachings.

Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have issued messages to the nation, emphasizing the profound significance of the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) teachings.

The President and Prime Minister have urged the nation and the Muslim Ummah to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a guiding light to overcome prevailing challenges.

In their separate messages on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (SAWW), they extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation on the blessed occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

In his message, the President said the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) is a source of guidance for humanity until the Day of Judgment. 

Asif Ali Zardari said we need to spread the message of love and compassion for humanity taught by the Holy Prophet (SAWW). 

In his message, the Prime Minister said the blessed life, noble character, and exemplary conduct of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) serves as a beacon of light for the entire humanity.

Shehbaz Sharif said on this day, we should also remember our oppressed brothers and sisters in Palestine and Kashmir, who are facing tyranny and oppression.
