ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has conveyed condolences to the government and people of Libya over the loss of precious life and properties caused by the recent floods hitting Northern parts of the African country, local media reported on Tuesday.
In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson said, “The Government and people of Pakistan extend deepest condolences to the people and the State of Libya on the destruction caused by the fatal floods in the Northeastern area of Libya,”.

It added that the loss of lives and the sufferings endured by the survivors were extremely saddening, and “Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people of Libya during these odd times.”
The spokesperson said that Pakistan’s embassy in Libya is monitoring the situation after the flood and is in touch with the local officials for possible help and support to the people.
