RAWALPINDI: Pakistan on Wednesday conducted a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a statement.
The military’s media wing said, “Today Pakistan conducted a successful flight test of Ababeel Weapon System. The test flight was aimed to re-validate various designs, technical parameters, and performance evaluation of different sub-systems of the weapon system.”
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, along with senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command beside scientists and engineers from Strategic Organizations, witnessed the launch of the flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System.

Pakistan Conducts Successful Flight Test of ‘Ababeel’ Weapon System
According to ISPR, the missile system was “aimed at strengthening deterrence and enhancing strategic stability in the region through the operationalization of Full Spectrum Deterrence in the overall construct of Credible Minimum Deterrence”.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee appreciated the technical prowess, dedication, and commitment of all those who contributed towards the successful test, ISPR stated in the statement.
The statement further added that President Dr Arif Alvi, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul-Haq-Kakar, and the services chiefs congratulated all members of the Strategic Forces on achieving the milestone.
