KARACHI: The 1st test between Pakistan and New Zealand ended in a draw at Karachi’s National Stadium on Friday. Pakistan cricket team having conceded a lead of 174, declared their 2nd innings at 311-8 in the final session of the match at Karachi’s National Stadium. That left New Zealand cricket team needing 138 runs for win from the final 15 overs and they raced to 61-1 before bad light forced a draw. The second test between the two sides will be played in Karachi on Monday.
Pakistan Cricket
Earlier, Ish Sodhi has registered his 1st five-wicket haul Friday as New Zealand pressed for win over Pakistan. Sodhi has finished with figures of 6-86 in 37 overs.
He playing his first Test in four years, turned the match in his team favour with 3 wickets in the post-lunch session to leave Pakistan on 249-7 at tea. He dismissed Sarfaraz Ahmed, Agha Salman and Imam-ul-Haq in the space of 27 balls for the addition of 21 runs. Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam scored 161 in Pakistan´s first innings was also out the same way to Sodhi.
