Minister Encourages Voters to Cast Vote During General Elections

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi stated that over 120 million Pakistanis would cast their votes to elect public representatives of their own choice and would fulfill their constitutional responsibility.

The minister further said that conducting a successful and peaceful election on time would also provide a clear message to the claims of those rumor-mongers who were creating confusion about the delay in elections, adding that the caretaker setup would prove them wrong.

Solangi further said that the Pakistani nation had been fighting the menace of terrorism for decades, and from 2008 to 2013, the law-and-order situation in the country was highly deteriorating. However, he added that a few incidents of terrorism could not deter the people of the country from utilizing the right to vote in large numbers for the betterment of the country.

Solangi also informed that the Ministry of Information had launched an online media helpline for the facilitation of local and foreign journalists during the elections.
