ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Wednesday that assistance of the Saudi Directorate of Passports would be beneficial in improving Pakistan’s passport system on modern lines.
He made these remarks during a meeting with acting Director General of the Saudi Directorate of Passports Major General Dr Saleh Al-Murabaa.

Preventing Forgery
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed effective measures to facilitate the issuance of passports and prevent forgery, Radio Pakistan reported. The two sides also exchanged views in detail on the E-Gates system.
Mohsin Naqvi said that a Call Centre will also be established in Pakistan on the model of Saudi Directorate of Passport’s Call Centre.
The interior minister also visited different departments of the Directorate and inspected its call centre.
He reviewed the modern passport system and advanced technology used in the centre.
