ISLAMABAD: After the second consignment was sent in November, the Government of Pakistan on Monday dispatched the third consignment of relief goods for the under-siege Palestinian people living in Gaza in a dismal situation.

The fresh aid consignment comprising more than 20 tonnes of aid for the Palestinian brothers and sisters was dispatched via a special flight of the Pakistan Air Force from the Noor Khan Airbase for the stranded people of Palestine in Gaza.

The consignment included basic essential items like surgical and medical supplies, dry food items, and special gifts for children.

The flight would take the aid to the city of Arish in Egypt, where the Pakistani ambassador would receive it before sending it to Gaza for distribution.

Pakistan Supports Palestine Cause

Earlier, while talking to the media at Noor Khan Airbase, the Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani stressed the immediate help and assistance of the Palestinian people on humanitarian grounds. He also condemned the brutality of Israel and the usage of force in the area and demanded a just solution to the issue with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The minister also expressed Pakistan’s full support to the people of Palestine in Gaza and announced that more humanitarian aid would be arranged for the affected people of the war-torn area.

The event was also attended by the Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Armed Forces.
