Pakistan Dominates 31st Asian Junior Squash Championship

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan showcased outstanding performance at the 31st Asian Junior Squash Championship held at the Mushaf Zia Shaheed International Squash Complex in Islamabad.

Hamza Khan, a previous World Junior Champion, secured the Boys Under-19 title by defeating Malaysia’s Yirth Daniel 3-0 in a commanding final.

In the Boys Under-13 category, Suhail Adnan emerged victorious after a close 3-1 match against fellow Pakistani Hazifa Shahid.

Overall, Pakistan clinched a total of 2 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals across various categories. Malaysia emerged as the closest competitor with 3 titles, while India and Hong Kong also secured victories in the championship.

The event highlighted Pakistan’s prowess in junior squash and its commitment to nurturing young talent in the sport.

The championship served as a platform for young squash players from across Asia to showcase their skills.
