Pakistan Elects to Bowl First in Second ODI Against New Zealand

RAWALPINDI: In the second one-day international match between Pakistan and New Zealand, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and elected to field first at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Pakistan team, who won the first ODI by five wickets, made three changes to their playing XI, with 20-year-old pacer Ihsanullah making his ODI debut.

Additionally, leg-spinner Usama Mir and batter Abdullah Shafique were included in the team, replacing Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Shan Masood.

On the other hand, the tourists also made two changes to their team, with Adam Milne and Blair Tickner being replaced by James Neesham and Henry Shipley. The remaining matches of the five-matches ODI series are scheduled to take place in Karachi on May 3, 5, and 7.

Pakistan Squad

Pakistan’s Playing XI consists of Babar Azam (captain), Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Agha Salman, Abdullah Shafique, Ihsanullah, and Usama Mir.

New Zealand Squad

New Zealand’s Playing XI includes Tom Latham (captain), Chad Bowes, Mark Chapman, Matt Henry, Henry Shipley, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Rachin Ravindra, Ish Sodhi, James Neesham, and Will Young.

Aleem Dar and Rashid Riaz will serve as umpires, while Ahsan Raza will be the TV umpire. Chris Broad will serve as the match referee.
