BEIJING: Pakistan Embassy in Beijing Illuminated in Solidarity with Chinese New Year Festivities.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, extends warm wishes to the people of China in celebration of the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival. The embassy in Beijing is adorned with traditional lanterns to mark the occasion.
The Chinese New Year, signifying the start of the traditional Chinese calendar, falls on the new moon between January 21 and February 20. This year, the ‘Year of the Dragon’ begins on February 10, 2024, and concludes on January 28, 2025.
The dragon, as the fifth animal in the Chinese zodiac, symbolizes strength, health, luck, and Yang energy, representing the masculine essence in Taoist tradition.
"As the festive season begins, we renew our commitment to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and solidarity between 🇵🇰 & 🇨🇳."
