ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has established a dedicated Silk Road Culture Centre (SRCC) to showcase the rich and diverse heritage of the Silk Road region and promote cultural diplomacy and international collaboration. The centre offers a platform that celebrates diversity and fosters global harmony.
The SRCC aims to promote mutual understanding, strengthen international ties, and position Pakistan as a hub for cultural diplomacy and creativity.
It will offer a unique platform for embassies, cultural missions, and local communities to showcase and celebrate the rich tapestry of global art, traditions, and heritage.
The embassies of China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran are showcasing their cultural display at the centre. The centre will be formally inaugurated on December 10 (Tuesday) in Islamabad.
Speaking at a press briefing to share the vision and mission of this groundbreaking cultural initiative, Chairman of SRCC, Jamal Shah, emphasized the importance of the platform, and said that it celebrates the vibrant tapestry of cultures that historically converged along the Silk Road.
He noted that the centre embodies Pakistan’s commitment to promoting mutual understanding and global harmony.
During the briefing, Jamal Shah said that SRCC is the first-of-its-kind private-sector cultural centre in Pakistan, dedicated to promoting international art and culture.
