ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government announced on Monday a significant expansion of its Fast Track passport facility, according to an official notification issued by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports here.
The directorate, which operates under the Ministry of Interior, initially launched this facility in seven key cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta. The initiative has now grown to encompass 21 cities, and with the latest enhancement, it will soon reach a total of 47 locations.
The newly-added cities include Attock, Haripur, Chakwal, Batkhela, Sargodha, Swabi, Bhalwal, Nowshera, Hafizabad, Karak, Mianwali, Mansehra, Bhakar, Muzaffarabad, Kohat, Mirpur (AJK), Dera Ismail Khan, Bagh, Swat, Rawalakot (Poonch), Abbottabad, Kotli, Bannu, Sudhanoti, Hangu, and Bhimber.

This initiative is designed to streamline passport processing for the public in these areas.
To ensure swift implementation, the Directorate General has tasked all zonal heads with executing these directives with efficiently. The Director (Databases) has been directed to update the Passport Processing System (PPS) to reflect the expanded Fast Track services.
