Pakistan Faces Ebola Outbreak Threat: NIH

ISLAMABAD: The National Institute of Health (NIH) on Tuesday issued warning that the Ebola virus might enter Pakistan from African country Uganda.

According to NIH advisory, there is a possible risk of the Ebola outbreak in the country and the concerned institutions and officials need to stay alert.

In Uganda, 36 Ebola cases have been reported last month claiming 23 lives.

The advisory said that the Central Health Establishment would regularly monitor people arriving from Uganda, while the suspected Ebola cases would be quarantined and their samples would be will be reported to the NIH.
