ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is all set to host the much-anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and upgradation work on the venue has been in the final stages.
The refurbishment of Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi’s National Stadium, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is in its final stages, with all major construction work completed.
The finishing touches are expected to be finalised within the next two to three days, well ahead of the mega event.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), construction firms, and labourers have worked tirelessly to ensure the venues are ready.
The PCB has invested approximately PKR 12 billion in renovations, infrastructure improvements, and equipment installation at all three sites.

Tickets for Pakistan vs New Zealand (February 19, Karachi), Australia vs England (February 22, Lahore), and Pakistan vs Bangladesh (February 27, Rawalpindi) matches are completely sold out, said a PCB statement.
Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given his final seal of approval, paving the way for the grand celebrations, which will officially kick off on February 16 at the historic Hazuri Bagh in Lahore.
On Thursday Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi visited Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and inspected the main pavilion and media boxes upgradation work, said a statement by the PCB media office. It is to be noted that the installation of chairs in enclosures is in the final stage.

The Chairman PCB expressed satisfaction over the progress of the upgrade project. Mohsin Naqvi during the visit also reviewed the proposed security arrangements for the teams.
He said that after a long time, the ICC tournament is being held in Pakistan adding that all preparations are complete for the grand organisation of the mega event.
He hoped to make the Champions Trophy a memorable event. He added that cricket fans will have to see the best cricket.
The PCB statement said three matches of the mega event will be played at the Rawalpindi Stadium starting from February 19. Bangladesh will face New Zealand on February 24, Australia will face South Africa on February 25 and Pakistan will face Bangladesh on February 27 at the venue.
Meanwhile, tickets for Pakistan vs New Zealand (February 19, Karachi), Australia vs England (February 22, Lahore), and Pakistan vs Bangladesh (February 27, Rawalpindi) matches are completely sold out, said a statement issued here.
Initially, the PCB had made 30% of tickets available for online sale. Meanwhile, the tickets will be available for physical purchase starting February 3 at TCS Express Centers, with over 100 outlets across the country.
The PCB has announced that the renowned Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will be handed over to the ICC on February 11, a little over a week before the start of the ODI series.
