ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the authorities to ensure beautification of the Red Zone and landscaping along major roads in the federal capital ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday, to review arrangements and preparations for the upcoming SCO summit. The Minister also instructed that Islamabad must be decorated with beautiful flowers and fancy lights.
Mohsin Naqvi tasked the relevant authorities with completing the renovation of the Jinnah Convention Center swiftly. He also issued necessary directives for expedited completion of beautification and construction works of the capital.
The Minister also directed Commissioner Islamabad and Commissioner Rawalpindi to work jointly regarding the prevention of dengue.
