GILGIT: At least five tourists were killed when a Surf Jeep collided with another Jeep and tumbled into a Nullah near Deosai top, leading to a terrible road incident.
Five of the seven passengers died on the spot, while the remaining two injured individuals were transferred to RHQ Skardu for treatment, where they are currently reported to be out of danger.
Deosai Top Road Accident Victims Belong to Quetta
According to Skardu’s Deputy Commissioner, these tourists were from Quetta and were on their way to the northern areas. Speaking to the media, he expressed his grief over the incident and said that the Skardu district administration, Rescue 1122, and emergency response teams came quickly to the scene.
As of today, two deceased family members have been recovered, and teams are working to recover the remaining three bodies. This terrible tragedy serves as a reminder of the risks associated with traveling on difficult roads, as well as the need to take safety precautions when exploring such areas.
