ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan football team is gearing up for its final away match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2 against Tajikistan on June 11 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. However, the team’s travel plans have hit significant roadblocks due to unforeseen circumstances.

A press release revealed that a private airline flight, initially slated to transport the team, was canceled due to a bird strike incident. This unexpected development led to two subsequent delays before the flight was ultimately canceled, causing disruptions to the team’s travel schedule.

In response to these challenges, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has taken swift action by reaching out to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for a chartered flight. Despite the setbacks, efforts are underway to facilitate the travel of the remaining squad members to ensure they arrive in Tajikistan in time for the crucial match.

Presently, only 8 out of the 35-member squad have successfully arrived in Tajikistan. The PFF is leaving no stone unturned in its commitment to overcoming these obstacles, exploring all available options to ensure the smooth and timely travel of the players.

As the team prepares to face Tajikistan in this pivotal match, the PFF remains dedicated to navigating through these disruptions with resilience and determination, prioritizing the welfare and readiness of the players for the upcoming game.
