ISLAMABAD: Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Federal Minister for Human Rights, on Wednesday said that Pakistan and Belarus enjoy excellent relations and both countries have scope and opportunities to further consolidate these ties.
Speaking in the cake-cutting ceremony in Islamabad on the occasion of Belarus Independence Day, he said that Pakistan and Belarus could work to enhance cooperation in different fields, including education, culture, and technology.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Metlitsa, SAPM Tariq Fatemi and other distinguished guests.
In his address, Pirzada said that Pakistan duly recognizes the importance of international cooperation, particularly in the field of human rights and it highly valued its relations with Belarus.
“Let us seize this opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship between our two nations and explore new avenues of cooperation that will benefit our people”, he added.
Belarus’s development
The minister lauded Belarus by saying that it has made huge strides in its development path, particularly in the technological field.
Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Metlitsa in his remarks thanked the chief guest Tariq Fatemi for gracing the occasion. He also thanked his fellow envoys and other honourable guests for their presence. The diplomat termed the recent visit of the Belarussian foreign minister as an important milestone in terms of further cementing bilateral ties.
