Pakistan Hope to Keep Momentum in ICC U19 World Cup Semifinal Against Australia

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s captain Saad Baig hopes to keep the momentum going in the semifinal of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 against Australia at Willowmoore Park, Benoni, on Thursday.

Following a Super 6 round full of brilliant performances and thrilling climaxes, Pakistan, South Africa, India, and Australia progress with their sights firmly set on semifinal success and a chance to win the mega-event.

Tournament hosts South Africa would clash with defending champions India in Willowmoore Park, Benoni on Tuesday. Match official appointments for the semifinal matches stage have also been confirmed.

Ahead of the thrilling semifinals, the four skippers were looking forward to the prospect of competing against the very best young emerging cricketers in the world and the thought of lifting the trophy in the end.

Baig said We are really happy to have qualified for the semifinals. The match against Bangladesh was tough, but the team did not let me down.

Australia a Tough Team 

He said that Australia is always a tough team to play against, and we hope to keep momentum with us into this game.

The skipper said that he would like to thank all of their fans who are supporting green shirts both here in South Africa and back home in Pakistan.
