RIYADH: Interior Minister of Pakistan Mohsin Naqvi has congratulated the Saudi leadership and the people on being awarded the hosting rights for the 2034 FIFA World Cup and expressed good wishes for the event.
He made the remarks while talking to the Saudi Minister of State for Interior Dr. Khalid Mohammed Abdullah Al Battal in Riyadh on Sunday.
The minister said Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision of 2030 has created a history of development and prosperity.
He added that Pakistan is proud of its friendship with Saudi Arabia as it is the most reliable friend of Pakistan among the Islamic countries. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and Pakistan-Saudi relations were also discussed, Radio Pakistan reported.

The Saudi Minister of State for Interior said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are enjoying very close and cordial relations.
He expressed the hope that important meetings with Saudi officials during the visit of Interior Minister will further enhance ties between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Interior Dr. Khalid Mohammed Abdullah Al Battal warmly received Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi upon his arrival at the airport in Riyadh.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of the ‘One Water Summit’ in Riyadh where they discussed strengthening the economic, trade, and investment ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The Crown Prince expressed his pleasure at the fifth meeting between the two leaders within six months, terming it as a testament to the profound mutual respect and affection shared by the two nations. He underscored that these frequent interactions reflect the strong and enduring bond between the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
