Pakistan, Japan Pledge Cooperation for Economic Growth

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Wada Mitsuhiro Wednesday met with Pakistan’s Minister for Privatization, Investment, and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan and discussed various mutual interests and cooperation opportunities.

During the meeting, Aleem Khan expressed his keen interest in strengthening cooperation with Japan to foster growth and development.

He highlighted the government’s policy initiatives aimed at bolstering the economy and encouraging investment, which received commendation from the Japanese Ambassador.

Minister Aleem Khan briefed the Ambassador about Pakistan’s ongoing privatization efforts, excluding strategic and essential enterprises, and the potential investment opportunities arising from these endeavors. In turn, Ambassador Wada shared Japan’s successful experiences in privatization.

Moreover, Privatization Minister informed the Ambassador about the government’s endeavors to improve the ease of doing business in Pakistan. He extended an invitation to Japanese investors, assuring them of favorable returns on investment and offering facilitation in all possible ways.

Expressing gratitude, Aleem Khan thanked the Ambassador and the Japanese government for their continuous support of Pakistan over the years.
