Pakistan, Latvia Agree to Expand Cooperation in Diverse Fields

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Latvia on Wednesday agreed to expand bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, education, technology, energy, and labour mobility.

The understanding to this effect came at the 6th Round of Pakistan-Latvia Bilateral Political Consultations in Islamabad.

Both sides reviewed the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Latvia ties. They discussed regional and global developments and highlighted the need for collective efforts to address common challenges.

Meanwhile, Deputy State Secretary-Political Director, Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andžejs Vilumsons held a meeting with the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi.

They discussed Pakistan-Latvia ties, regional and global developments.

During the meeting, different matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
