Pakistan Lauds Japan’s Flood Relief Assistance

Islamabad: Speakers National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that Pakistan considered Japan as a close friendly country and paying importance to the friendly relations between the two countries.

Raja Pervez Ashraf said that in a meeting with Ambassador of Japan Wada Mitsuhiro, who called on the NA Speaker at Parliament House here on Wednesday.

During the meeting Raja Pervez Ashraf and the Japanese envoy discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two sides. Meanwhile, Raja Pervez Ashraf also thanked the Japanese envoy for assistance for flood victims in Pakistan. He also stressed upon consolidating parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile Japan’s Ambassador Wada Mitsuhiro paid condolence over the losses of humans in the recent floods and said that Japan has suffered a lot due to climate change in past. He added that Japan will support Pakistan’s demand for establishment of International Climate Fund. The envoy further added that government and people of Japan believe Pakistan as trusted friendly country and mutual economic partner.
