ISLAMABAD: Cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country with chances of rain-wind and thunderstorms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and north Balochistan during the next 24 hours, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Tuesday.
Fog is likely to occur in at few plain areas of Punjab province during morning hours.
As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave was affecting western areas and was likely to grip upper parts from Wednesday evening.
During the last twenty-four hours, dry weather prevailed over most areas of the country, while cold in northern parts.
PMD Predicts Rain-thunderstorms
Rain-thunderstorms occurred in western Balochistan.
The rainfall recorded during the period was Barkhan 31mm, Kalat 04, Dalbandin, Khuzdar 03, Zhob 06, Quetta (Sheikh Manda, Samungli 1) and Dera Ghazi Khan 1mm.
The lowest minimum temperatures registered were Leh -04 C, Skardu -03, Hunza, Babusar, and Kalam 00 C.
