Pakistan Met Office Predicts Rain-Wind/Thunderstorm in Islamabad, Kashmir, KP, Punjab, Sindh

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted a mix of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and even snowfall in mountainous areas in various parts of the country.

The weather advisory for various regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Islamabad, Sindh, and Balochistan covers the period from the 13th to the 18th and predicts a mix of rain, wind, thunderstorms, and even snowfall in mountainous areas.

Following is the regional breakdown of the forecast:

Rain Predictions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is expected to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms, with the possibility of moderate to isolated heavy falls in many areas. This weather pattern is projected to persist from the 13th (evening/night) to the 17th, with occasional gaps in areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Swabi, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kurram, Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan. In addition, snowfall is expected in the high mountains, and isolated hailstorms may occur in the plains during this period.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan: Similar weather conditions are expected in these areas, with a forecast of rain, wind, and thunderstorms, varying from moderate to isolated heavy falls. The prediction spans from the 13th to the 17th, with snowfall expected in the high mountainous regions.

Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan: Similar weather conditions are expected in Azad and Jammu Kashmir areas, with a forecast of rain, wind, and thunderstorms, varying from moderate to isolated heavy falls. The areas are including Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur of the AJK. The prediction for the Gilgit Baltistan areas are include Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar.

Punjab and Islamabad: The Met Office said that the weather forecast for Punjab and the federal capital is characterized by rain, wind, and thunderstorms, including moderate to isolated heavy falls. This pattern will persist from the 13th to the 17th. Isolated hailstorms are also expected. On the 16th (evening/night) to the 18th, there is another forecast of rain, wind, and thunderstorms with occasional gaps in areas such as Layyah, Bhakkar, Kot Addu, Sahiwal, Multan, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalpur,

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms with moderate to isolated heavy falls and isolated hailstorms in regions including Islamabad, the Potohar region, Murree, and Galiyat.

Rain Predictions in Sindh: The Met Office said that on the 17th and 18th, Sindh regions, including Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Sanghar, and Umerkot, are likely to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms.

Balochistan: Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are predicted in Sherani, Musa Khel, Zhob, Qilla Saifullah, Loralai, Barkhan, Kohlu, Sibbi, Bolan, Kalat, Harnai, Naseerabad, Dera Bugti, Jaffarabad, Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Quetta, and Ziarat on the 17th and 18th.
