ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Cheema, expressed optimism that the upcoming 8th Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) between Pakistan and Azerbaijan will pave the way for enhanced trade cooperation between the two countries.
Cheema made these comments during a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, in Islamabad today. The two officials discussed preparations for the JMC, scheduled for December 3rd and 4th.
The Minister underscored the importance of closer collaboration between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Defence Production to ensure the effective implementation of the commission’s outcomes.
He also announced plans to establish an “Azerbaijan Trade House” in Pakistan, with further details to be provided pending approval from the Azerbaijani government.
This initiative is anticipated to strengthen economic ties and facilitate trade relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
