RAWALPINDI: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, expressed profound concern on Friday regarding the escalating humanitarian crisis in Palestine, primarily driven by Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip. She strongly condemned the ongoing atrocities.

During a media address held at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Mushaal Mullick described the dire situation in Palestine, emphasizing that a severe form of genocide was taking place. She decried the violation of human rights protocols and highlighted the use of heavy weapons targeting hospitals, leading to the tragic loss of innocent lives, including children and women.

Mushaal Mullick deplored the actions of Israel and the silence of world leaders in the face of these atrocities. She affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Palestinian people and expressed compassion and hope during this challenging period. She stressed the importance of offering support and encouragement to those enduring hardships and struggles.

The Special Assistant also strongly condemned Israel’s relentless slaughters, oppression, and the siege of the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in a grave humanitarian tragedy.

Mushaal Mullick further called on the international community to recognize the critical human rights violations in Gaza and advocated for the establishment of a humanitarian corridor. This corridor would facilitate the delivery of essential medical and food supplies to those in desperate need in Gaza. She emphasized the need for global intervention and collaboration to secure an immediate ceasefire and find a resolution to the Palestinian issue.

During the event, a unanimous resolution was adopted to condemn the atrocities and human rights violations committed by Israel in Palestine. The participants, which included Chamber members, trade associations, women members, and students from various institutes, demanded that world powers, the United Nations, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) play a vital role in resolving the conflict, establishing permanent peace, and providing humanitarian aid to Palestine.

RCCI President Saqib Rafiq assured that the Muslim community stood in strong support of their Palestinian brothers and sisters during these challenging times. He expressed solidarity for peace, justice, and a brighter future for Palestine.

Earlier, a solidarity walk from the Chamber House to the Gymkhana Club was organized. Rally participants, including Chamber members, trade associations, women members, and students, carried placards, banners, and Palestinian flags. They chanted powerful slogans against Israel and in favor of their Palestinian brothers and sisters.
