ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Museum for Natural History has envisaged a novel initiative to impart videography and photography skills among school-going kids to film and capture the beauty of nature.

Dr. Saima Huma Tanveer, Director General of PMNH, told APP that the students would be imparted videomaking and photography skills under the new project “Media Project for Conservation of Environment and Nature”.

She said that these students would be trained in filming different aspects of nature and the environment, including birds, flowers, rivers, mountains etc.

Kids on social media

She said that the use of social media platforms by students of all ages is at its peak who seem to be interested to make their own YouTube channels, Facebook and TikTok accounts for fun and money making.

However, they are clueless about what should they project or portray on these platforms.

The DG said that this project would broaden their vision to explore the beauty of nature by awakening their aesthetic sense and utilizing their minds for positive things.
