Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Invites Turkish Counterpart

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday said that strong ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, are rooted in shared religious and cultural values. 

During a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the significance of revitalizing parliament-to-parliament contacts to foster regional prosperity and development. He mentioned his initiative of hosting the first Speaker’s Conference in 2017, highlighting the ample opportunities for collaboration between the two nations’ parliaments through various parliamentary forums.

Ayaz Sadiq extended an invitation to the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament to visit Pakistan, further strengthening bilateral relations.

Moreover, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq discussed the vast trade and business opportunities available in Pakistan, noting the diverse natural landscapes that make it an attractive tourist destination similar to Turkiye.

Dr. Mehmet Pacaci congratulated Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on his successful election as Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan and reaffirmed Turkiye’s enduring commitment to its relations with Pakistan, given the longstanding historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
