Pakistan National Team Stars Participating in PCB’s Level 2 Coach Cricket Course

KARACHI: Twenty-seven cricketers, including former Pakistan national team players, are participating in a six-day Level 2 Cricket Coach course underway at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi.
Among the participants are former captain Mohammad Hafeez and wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal, both aspiring to pursue coaching careers. Former players of the Pakistan women’s team are also participating in the training sessions.
The Level 2 course focuses on advanced coaching skills, such as error identification and correction through video analysis. It also covers communication, practical work, mental and physical conditioning, nutrition, and strategic planning to facilitate players’ progression to higher levels.
Former cricketer Sana Taj, who completed the PCB Level 1 Cricket Coach course in 2018, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing Level 2 course, highlighting the expertise of the instructors and the enjoyable learning experience.
Mohammad Hafeez, who also served as head coach of the Pakistan national team, shared his enthusiasm for acquiring fundamental coaching knowledge during the sessions, while Kamran Akmal praised the PCB’s initiative in providing comprehensive coaching skills training.
He emphasized the value of learning coaching basics and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to expand his coaching capabilities.
