Pakistan Navy Crew Completes Training at Turkish Naval Base: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: The training of the crew of PNS Babar, the new ship of the Pakistan Navy, has been completed at Golchik Naval Base in Turkey further strengthening defense ties between the two countries.

The first-of-its-kind training was jointly organized by Pakistan Navy and Turkish Naval Forces, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Tuesday.

The purpose of the training was to train PNS Babar’s crew for various naval operations and to further strengthen the mutual relationship between the two navies.

During the training, Commander Golchik Naval Base, commanding officer Istanbul Naval Shipyard visited PNS Babar.

Top officials of the Turkish Naval Forces appreciated the operational and training standards of the Pakistan Navy.

PNS Babar paid tribute to Turkish martyrs while passing in front of the First World War memorial.

PNS Babar is the first of the four Milgem-Class ships being developed in cooperation with Turkey.

Under the Pakistan-Turkey agreement, two ships are being built in Istanbul and two in Karachi.
