Pakistan Navy Launches Biennial War Game SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-IX

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy began the highly anticipated SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR-IX war game in Karachi on Monday, with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza presiding over the opening session as the Chief Guest.

The event was marked by the presence of Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and senior military officers from all services, according to a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army’s media wing.

Significance of Pakistan Navy War Game

SHAMSHEER-E-BAHR holds significant importance in Pakistan’s maritime operations, serving as a flagship war game of the Pakistan Navy that takes place every two years. The primary objective of the exercise is to validate and corroborate various strategic concepts that are subsequently incorporated into the nation’s naval strategy, contributing to enhanced operational preparedness and efficiency.

The war game, characterized by its comprehensive scope and extensive participation, aims to evaluate and refine the strategies and tactics employed by the Pakistan Navy.
