RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy in a successful operation in the Arabian Sea has seized a large quantity of Indian-manufactured illicit drugs, a military statement said on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the seized narcotics include 2000 Kilograms of Hashish, 370 Kilograms of Ice and 50 kilograms of Heroin.
It added the seized consignment also includes a huge quantity of illegal Indian manufactured pills used as drugs.
The statement said the value of the seized narcotics in the international market is approximately US $ 45 million. The ISPR said the seized items have been handed over to Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF) for further proceedings.
The statement said the Pakistan Navy is always ready to prevent all kinds of illegal activities in the maritime boundaries of the region.
