Pakistan Navy Ship Visits Djibouti During Regional Maritime Security Patrol Deployment

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Zulfiqar has visited the port of Djibouti during deployment on Regional Maritime Security Patrol, said a news release issued by Directorate General Public Relations (Navy) on Tuesday.

Pakistan Navy Ship was received by officials of Djibouti Navy, upon arrival at the port. The Commanding Officer of PNS Zulfiqar also held meetings with senior military leadership and explored avenues for further collaboration.  

The statement said that the Navy-to-Navy engagements between Pakistan and Djibouti have been the cornerstone of diplomatic ties between both brotherly nations. During Port Call, the crew of PNS Zulfiqar also interacted with Djibouti Navy and Coast Guards.

Pakistan and Djibouti enjoy close and cordial ties based on common respect and understanding. Both countries also have numerous mutual interests in the maritime sector.

The statement said the Ambassadors, Senior Government and Military Leadership of Djibouti, Defence Attaches, and prominent members of local and Pakistani community also visited the ship.

PNS Zulfiqar also conducted a passage exercise with Djibouti coast guards to boost inter-operability.
