ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy’s warship, PNS Yarmouk, has visited Oman as part of its regional maritime security patrol, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release on Tuesday.

During the visit, the ship engaged in a naval exercise with a vessel from the Royal Navy of Oman.

The primary goal of these exercises was to foster mutual cooperation between the two navies, combat illegal activities at sea, and promote regional peace and stability. Such collaborative drills are essential for enhancing maritime security and ensuring the safe conduct of naval operations.

During its time in Oman, the commanding officer of PNS Yarmouk held meetings with Omani military officials to discuss areas of mutual interest and strengthen bilateral relations. These discussions underscored the commitment of both nations to regional security and cooperative naval practices.

The Pakistan Navy regularly conducts joint exercises with other naval forces to support regional stability and address maritime security threats.

These operations are part of the broader mission to maintain law and order at sea and enhance the capabilities of the naval forces.

The visit to Oman and participation in the naval exercise underscore the Pakistan Navy’s dedication to fostering international cooperation, advancing naval development, and contributing to regional stability.
