Pakistan, Netherlands Agree to Strengthen Trade Relations

ISLAMABAD: Netherlands Ambassador to Pakistan Henny Fokel De Vries called on Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan on Monday to discuss the deepening of trade relations.

The Ambassador appreciated the role of the Ministry of Commerce in coordinating and support for resolving the issues of Dutch companies, according to a statement released by the ministry.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan requested to renew the technical programmes like CBI and PUM for the benefit of Small and Midsize Enterprises in Pakistan.

He also extended an invitation to the Dutch Minister for Trade to visit Pakistan along with a business delegation as many Netherlands companies are operating in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Potential in Various Sectors Highlighted

The minister highlighted Pakistan’s significant potential in various sectors, including renewable energy, services, agriculture, IT, human resources, fisheries, and textiles.

The Minister stressed the need for value addition in the food sector and advocated for increased business-to-business interactions to foster mutual trade.
