WASHINGTON: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has offered full support to the United States cricket board to help promote and develop the sport across the country.
The PCB chief made the offer during a meeting with United States of America (USA) Cricket’s Chief Executive Officer Johnathan Atkeison in Washington, said a PCB statement on Tuesday.
Mohsin Naqvi and the US Cricket CEO discussed the possibilities of a tri-series between Pakistan, Canada, and the US. They also discussed arranging of bilateral series between Pakistan and US men’s and women’s cricket teams.
Chairman PCB assured the US Cricket CEO of all the possible support on the players’ development front adding that the PCB is ready to provide full support for the promotion of cricket in the US.
Mohsin Naqvi also offered to train American cricket coaches in Pakistan. During the meeting, he invited Johnathan Atkeison to visit Pakistan to attend the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches.
Chairman PCB said that there are immense opportunities for the promotion of cricket between Pakistan and the United States. The US Cricket CEO expressed gratitude to the Chairman PCB for the invitation to the Champions Trophy.

Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Super League (PSL), Salman Naseer was also present in the meeting.
Cricket in the US is played at the amateur, club, intercollegiate, and international competition levels, though it remains relatively unpopular, with around 200,000 players nationwide.
Major League Cricket represents the top tier of domestic T20 cricket in the country, with the T20 format being the main driver of recent growth in American cricket.
