Pakistan Opt to Bat Against Afghanistan in First T20I

SHARJAH: Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first against Afghanistan in the first T20 international match of the three-match series at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium on Friday.

Rashid Khan is leading the Afghanistan team, while veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi is back in the team, and batsman Rahmat Shah has been dropped.

Shadab Leads in T20I series

Shadab Khan will lead Pakistan’s side after selectors rested 5 senior players, including captain Babar Azam, as part of their workload management.

Fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi, wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan and the aggressive opener Fakhar Zaman are also out of the squad.
