ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday departed for Turkey on an official trip to attend the inauguration of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on June 3rd.
President Erdogan had received 52.14 percent of the votes, beating his contestant, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who won 47.86 percent in the 2nd round of elections held on May 28.

Shehbaz Sharif wrote on his social media account before his departure to Turkey, “Leaving for Turkey today at the invitation of my brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to attend his inauguration ceremony”.
At the airport, the Turkish envoy in Islamabad, Dr Mehmet Paçaci saw off Shahbaz Sharif. In his tweet, Shehbaz Sharif said the fraternal relations between Islamabad and Ankara were set to deepen further in line with their shared determination and shared destiny.
